Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dyvvy iOS app and dyvvy.app (together, “Dyvvy”). By using Dyvvy you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

What Dyvvy is

Dyvvy is a bill-splitting tool. Hosts scan or enter a receipt, invite guests to claim items, and track balances. Dyvvy is not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter. Settlements (for example via Venmo) happen between users outside Dyvvy.

Accounts

Hosts need an account (Sign in with Apple or email). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. You may delete your account in the app at any time; see our Privacy Policy for what deletion removes.

Acceptable use

• Use Dyvvy only for lawful personal or small-group bill splitting.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, or reverse engineer the service.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not attempt to circumvent join codes, rate limits, or other security controls on tables or accounts.

Website & analytics

The dyvvy.app site may use product analytics (currently PostHog) to measure usage and improve the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You may limit some tracking via browser settings that clear cookies or block third-party scripts; core claim features may still work.

Subscriptions (Dyvvy Pro)

Optional auto-renewable subscriptions unlock Pro features (such as higher OCR limits and unlimited saved drafts). Purchases are billed by Apple through In‑App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your Dyvvy account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

Accuracy & availability

OCR and calculations are helpers, not guarantees. Always review amounts before settling. We may change or discontinue features; we aim for reliable uptime but do not promise uninterrupted service.

Disclaimer

Dyvvy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for disputes between diners, failed third-party payments, or indirect / consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
